Romeo and Juliet (2014)

The 2013 production of Romeo and Juliet was the first Broadway mounting in 36 years. Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, Italy, and tells the story of two young lovers whose noble families are locked in a bitter feud. They try to defy the circumstances that forbid their love, with heartbreaking results.

Romeo and Juliet was BroadwayHD's first project, long before the online service was available. Screenvision and BroadwayHD partners to bring this Broadway revival to movie theatres in 2014. The production stars Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad.

The show was captured in November 2013 using nine high definition cameras at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway. Emmy Award winner Don Roy King (Putting it Together, Jekyll and Hyde, Broadway Worldwide) directed the filming.
